"My boyfriend and I LOVE the first book and are always planning our next weekly Adventure Challenge together. I bought him the second book as a Christmas gift and we had very high hopes for it. Honestly, we would probably like this book a lot more if we did it without ever doing the first edition. Compared to the first edition, this one is very beige. The energy matches the color scheme as it lacks the humor and creativity that made the first edition so special. The pages are thinner, the built-in sticky strips for instant photos are separate, and there are much less dates. This edition is written more like a journal and wastes a lot of pages on things like “Would you rather…” and “Creating a mixtape. ” I think it would be fun to have a journal with prompts like that, but not in the date book. The date book is supposed to be purely about dates and challenging couples to focus on growing and trying new things together. We haven’t completed any dates from this book, so there is a chance that the limited number of dates are high quality and able to redeem this book; however, the date titles seem like they are more “normal” dates."
